VIDEO: How to fix a puncture on a Pure Air electric scooter

November 17th 2020

If you need to change a tyre or fix a puncture on your electric scooter, then this video is for you!

Here, our in-house tech guru David runs through the steps needed to remove a tyre, change the tube, and replace the tyre again on the non-motorised wheel, with added instructions on how to perform the task on the motorised wheel - all on a Pure Air electric scooter.

For this task, you’ll need:

  • 2x T30 security tools
  • A 3mm Allen key
  • Tyre levers
  • A hammer or mallet
  • A punch
  • Your spare/replacement tube
  • A pump

Although we’ve tried to make the task as simple as possible in our video, changing an e-scooter tyre can still be quite difficult to achieve. If you’re struggling, we strongly recommend visiting us in store if you can, or seeking the assistance of a qualified mechanic.

Remember, using improper tools to change a tyre can cause damage and void your warranty, so take care to ensure that the correct tools are used.

This instructional video features a Pure Air e-scooter, but if you’d like us to make a video showing the tyre change procedure on another model of e-scooter, leave your comments in the YouTube video description and we’ll do our best to help!
