Tell me more about inner tubes

Why do I need a spare tube?

Having a spare tube with you makes fixing a puncture easier and faster. Lots of people only buy a spare tube after they suffer a puncture. That means that they’re often left stranded by the side of the road, without a spare or a puncture repair kit, waiting to be picked up or set for a long walk back home or to the bike shop.

What do I need to change my own tube?

To change a punctured bike tube, you’ll need tyre levers to pry the tyre on and off the rim, and a pump to inflate the new tube when the tyre is back on the rim. We recommend carrying a spare inner tube, tyre levers and a pump on every bike ride.

What size tube do I need?

You need a tube that matches the dimensions of your wheel and tyre. The majority of road, gravel and cyclocross bikes feature 700C size wheels, with varying rim widths. You can find your bike’s wheel size printed on the side of your tyres.
