Brompton Electric

From the makers of the most famous folding bike in the world, the Brompton Electric is a design evolution that takes the very best of convenient, usable city bike design and adds the utility of electrical assistance.

Heritage

Hand-built craftsmanship
Brompton bikes are hand built by specially trained brazers – craftsmen that receive a full 18 months of unique training – in order to create the ultimate folding electric bike around the original iconic design. Almost ubiquitous in the UK’s capital for the city bike, the electrically-assisted Brompton enables the rider to travel further in more comfort, without losing the original convenient, efficient folding design.

Portable and stowable
Weighing as little as 13.7kg with the battery pack removed, the Brompton Electric is as ingeniously portable just like its non-electric predecessors. This means that you can easily fold, carry and store it, taking it on public transport or stowing it under your work desk for minimal disruption.

Designed with Williams Advance Engineering
Building upon the pioneering Brompton platform, the Brompton Electric’s drive system was designed in partnership with Formula E motorsport experts at Williams Advanced Engineering. Boasting a 300Wh removable battery that powers a front hub motor, it can deliver between 20-45mi (30-70km) of assisted range.
Smart technology
The Brompton Electric’s motor features a smart sensor that enables it to assist the rider as and when they need it. With greater assistance for riding up hills, into a headwind or when pulling away from the lights, you never have to work harder than you need to get to your destination – saving effort, saving energy, saving sweat.

Take anywhere. Fly up hills, arrive fresh and on time.
