SCOTT Electric Bikes
SCOTT electric bikes give you the easy pedaling speed and comfort to ride further than ever before. Since 2011, the SCOTT e-bike has been at the forefront of electric bike design and innovation, and remains one of the leaders in e-bike development today.

Designed with everyday functionality and fun in mind, you’ll find each SCOTT e-bike model fitted with the highest quality components and made with real attention to detail. A wide range of models are available, including the popular Aspect eRide, Genius eRide, and Strike eRide.
With its manufacturing headquarters now in Givisiez, western Switzerland, the company was born in 1958 when Ed Scott invented the first tapered aluminium ski pole. The ethos of technical creativity continued to be the cornerstone of the business, with innovations like the aerodynamic handlebar and the SCOTT full suspension electric mountain bike.
In 2011 the first SCOTT ebike was developed, in close collaboration with electronics giant Bosch. SCOTT electric bikes include models for urban, road, and mountain riding—plus All Terrain and Touring e-bikes for the best of both worlds.
SCOTT mountain bikes are more maneuverable but less stiff than an enduro bike, and more capable than a cross-country bike. Every SCOTT electric road bike is highly aerodynamic, comfort-focused, and super-fast, while the electric city bikes are engineered to combine style and performance. The SCOTT ladies electric bike range is designed for women’s specific contact points.

In theory, there is no maximum speed for any electric bike, but there are strict rules on how much power the motor is allowed to deliver. These laws differ per country, but in the UK, the max assisted speed is 15.5mph. This means that once you reach that speed, the motor will automatically stop assisting you.
Every SCOTT e-bike comes with pedal assist, which takes you from approximately +50% to +300% of additional power—depending on the riding mode and conditions.
-
Again, this depends on the conditions. If the SCOTT urban e-bike is in eco mode with an 80kg rider, it will do 120km (or 100 on the mountain e-bike under the same conditions). Bike weight and environmental factors also play a part.
A smart motor helps you to save energy and increase range—such as the Shimano and Bosch motors used in SCOTT e-bikes. eRIDE bikes are fitted with a Range Booster mount that takes a standard 500Wh Bosch battery, giving you a total of 1125Wh.
On a SCOTT hybrid electric bike, you can still pedal when the drive unit is off. And if you run out of battery mid-ride, you’ve still got 100 “emergency” gear shifts.

The aim behind the SCOTT electric hybrid bike is to make it light yet strong, and comfortable and enjoyable to ride. The company has always striven to produce the lightest frames possible, and that has continued with the development of e-bikes.
The mountain e-bikes are made with durable materials to handle different trails, and the most advanced carbon fibers in the market—leading to a super-light and compact frame without sacrificing stiffness, comfort, or impact resistance.
A SCOTT electric mountain bike such as the Genius eRIDE has a carbon/alloy frame, while other models are either carbon or alloy. SCOTT keeps a strong focus on the sustainable use of resources.
