Driven by the goal to unleash the potential of every rider, Giant blends unique frame designs and manufacturing techniques to create industry-leading, modern electric bikes. From mountain cycling to city commutes, the company strives to improve the cycling experience—which has been its mission since 1972.
Having pioneered advancements in aluminium and composite engineering, it’s no surprise that Giant e-bikes are just as innovative. The EnergyPak battery systems are integrated for a sleek profile, while Smart Assist uses sensors and algorithms to determine the optimum amount of power assistance. There’s even a Walk Assist mode to help you manoeuvre the bike if you have to dismount.
The Giant full suspension electric mountain bike gives you the power to ride further and faster without losing the joy of off-roading. Pick from a wide range of Giant E-MTB bikes, or choose the versatile Adventure range. This all-rounder capability is a great choice for most riders choosing their first Giant electric hybrid bike.
The Giant electric road bike range is super-light while still delivering exceptional performance and range. If you’re seeking a Giant ladies electric bike, turn to the sister brand Liv—it shares the same tech but is specifically designed for the female form.

As you might be aware, there are strict laws about power assistance for electric bikes. In the UK, it’s limited to 250w of power and a maximum speed of 25 km/h (20 mph). If you’re tackling a steep climb and your speed dips below 25km/h, the power assistance will help you out. But when you’re flying on the downhill stretch, the motor will stop when the max speed is reached.
Each Giant electric bike comes with various levels of support (Power, Sport, Active, Basic, and Eco), which you can choose from your handlebar-mounted RideControl unit. Power mode offers the most assistance, while Eco lets your legs take the strain.
Giant has partnered with Panasonic to deliver a long-lasting and advanced battery—which offers a range of 150km on some Giant electric bikes. In most cases a Giant e-mountain bike will use at least a 500Wh battery, but there are different capacities for different types of bike.
Whether it’s a Giant electric mountain bike or a Giant e-road bike, it’ll have a 36v Lithium-Ion battery. This type has the lowest discharge rate of all e-bike batteries, so it stays charged for longer. Rider weight and environmental conditions also have a bearing on capacity and range, but the Giant e-bike smart charger is there to offer super-fast charging and help extend battery life.
