Turbocharge the trails
If you want to unlock the exhilaration of mountain biking with electric pedal assistance, then the Haibike SDuro Hardseven 5.0 e-MTB bike is a great place to start. With a great tradition of e-MTB innovation, Haibike e-bikes are renowned for their performance ethos, packing the latest e-bike technology into fun e-MTB frames.
Integrating a 250W Yamaha PW-ST motor and a large 500Wh capacity battery into the bottom bracket and downtube, the SDuro Hardseven 5.0 looks just like an ordinary mountain bike, but packs enough power for a up to 130km of assisted range while remaining easy to handle on the trails. This makes climbing much easier, while at the same time retaining all the fun of shredding a downhill course.
The Yamaha system also comes with a handlebar-mounted multifunction control unit complete with a 1.7” LCD screen, from which you can select modes and view essential statistics like battery life and potential range – helping you to measure your effort for your entire ride.
A high quality lightweight 6061-grade aluminium hardtail frame forms the core of the e-bike, with a sporty geometry that produces an accessible-yet-fun riding position. As a result, the Haibike SDuro Hardseven 5.0 is perfect for anyone wanting to test their limits on the trails, or simply explore more exciting off-road terrain.
High quality components
The demands of the trails call for strong, sturdy and reliable componentry. Luckily, the SDuro Hardseven 5.0 comes loaded with parts that will keep your riding out in the country.
The Suntour forks allow for 120mm of travel, easily enough to absorb moderate impacts and small jumps, while smoothing out the rough and tumble that comes with loose and rocky surfaces. You’ll also benefit from outstanding control from the Shimano hydraulic disc brakes, while it also benefits from nimble 27.5” wheels and premium Schwalbe Smart Sam Active tyres.
Shimano provides the mechanical drivetrain with a 10-speed Deore groupset, which uses a wide-ranging 11-42 tooth cassette. With 10 ratios, you get real customisability to choose the optimum gear for any situation, as well as accessible climbing gears to accompany the pedal assistance from the Yamaha motor.
The bottom line
With a truly competitive blend of premium componentry and cleverly-integrated Yamaha e-bike motor and battery system, with a top-quality alloy frame binding the experience together, the Haibike SDuro Hardseven 5.0 is a hard e-MTB bike to beat for all kinds of off-road riding and exploring.
